Animal Extravaganza

Texas A&M's Veterinary Clinic was having an open house celebration with all kinds of tours, displays and animal exhibits. We thought it sounded like fun. There was far more to do than we had time for. We did not get to see the biggest horse in the world or go to the Petting Zoo or the Teddy Bear Surgery Unit. We did see some dog shows and the miniature horses and the exotic animal exhibit where we got to hold a turtle, pet snakes, ducklings, bunnies, guinea pigs, ferrets, and we saw several other fun animals.
Of Course, we had to get our picture take with the hippos
and the Tall Giraffe
Corbin was sure this Australian Shepherd must be G-ma Dina's dog, Bindy The Great Dane was taller than he was but Corbin wasn't scared a bit.
Nice little puppy. Can you tell he really likes dogs?
This poodle was as big as the miniature horses
Some Giant Lizard thingMaggie, the Talking ParrotCorbin loved it all which helped make up for the forty minute wait to get inside. We also toured the large animal hospital where they do surgery on all kinds of cattle, wild animals such as bears and even some zoo animals like giraffes. They had huge doors into all the rooms so the animals could go from room to room. It was really interesting to see how they can turn a cow, fully awake, completely upside down if the need to for any type of procedure.

You guys always find the coolest things to go do. I wish there was more stuff like that to do around here...Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. It looks like Corbin had tons of fun.

The dog does look like Bindy. She'll be excited to see you when you come as well as the rest of us. You can watch her as well as Samuel's kids - except that Samuel wouldn't let her in his house, yard, or even sight.

Grandma Leslie would be Ava's grandma in case you are wondering--How are you guys doing? Looks like the boys are growing! Everyone looked like themselves except Dad---I had to look twice to find Andrew! Plan to come to Dallas with Dan and Elise some weekend!
