a bit of randomness

Okay I am really just enjoying my first night off that I do not have to prepare for school or do a complete overhaul on my house to make it presentable for school in the morning. That can really get tiring. So I am enjoying a messy house for the night and blogging instead.

Dad and his Super heros. They love spinning in the computer chair. It makes me nauseous to watch them.
Carter woke up early from nap. He came out of his room and laid down on the floor and went back to sleep for another hour. I didn't dare move him.

Carter is obsessed with babies right now. He loves it when the parents are okay with him holding their babies. He is so sweet and cute with them it almost makes me wish we were having a baby. (let me stress the "almost" in that sentence.) He likes to pretend Corbin is a baby. He calls him Baby, baby, baby. Corbin takes this cue to start crying like a baby. Carter will get his blanket to put on him and pretend to feed him bites of baby food or give him a bottle. He pats his back and gives him lots of kisses. Corbin loves to play along in his game. I love seeing them play nicely together. I think Carter is really going to miss having Corbin at home in the morning.

Corbin's First day of Preschool

Corbin has been eagerly awaiting the first day of school ever since he met his teacher at the orientation meeting. His teacher Mrs. Peohl (pronounced Pail) seems really nice.
It is a happy sad thing to have Corbin going to preschool. I am glad I will be busy working so I don't get too lonely. I think this will really be good for him. His school gets out in time to do the last hour of my four year old class. Today he just wanted to go to bed. It was a long day. Here are the pictures we snapped in the morning before we dropped him off.
It took a little coaxing to get him to tell me how his first day went. It sounds like he had a good time. Yeah for Preschool!

I survived the first week of Preschool!

and so did Corbin and Carter. These last few weeks have been very fast paced and busy for us. It was a lot of work trying to get things ready for doing preschool. It has been four years since I have taught and I have never taught from my home and it has been a little stressful working out the details. I have just been really excited to finally get to do this. I am teaching two class a total of five classes in a week. This week went great! The kids did excellent and they all seemed eager and excited to come back the next class.

It was nice to have Corbin in my classes for the first few days before his preschool started. After the kids went home all he wanted to play was "school" He wanted Carter and I to be the students. He was the teacher. It was really fun to see my lesson mirrored back to me. After a long day of teaching and being taught I was ready to just be Mommy again. So here are some pictures of some of the things we're doing so far. These pictures of from my four year old class. I didn't have my camera out for the younger class.
