Trip to the zoo

We decided to buy a Zoo Pass this year since the zoo is close and just around the corner from the University.  I think it paid for itself after the first visit.  We had planned on going with a group of family and friends the first time, but everyone ended up canceling for one reason or another.  We brought along our neighbor and still made an afternoon of it by ourselves.  It must have been a nice day because the kids are wearing shorts even though it was back in November.  The zoo was hardly busy at all and the animals were very active.
The big cats were being really active that day.

The little baby elephant was really cute.  She was playing with everything in her enclosure.  The kids had fun watching her.

Of course we got to ride the carousal.

We made another quick trip to the zoo last week.  It was not the coldest day we have had, but it was still really cold.  The zoo was practically empty and alot of the animals were put away.  The boys had fun anyway and I didn't feel like we had to stay very long.  Andrew met us there after he got off work and got to goof off with the boys for half and hour or so.

Corbin's Gorilla Face.  Doesn't that Gorilla look intimidating?

It looks like you had lots of fun at the zoo. I really do want to go to the zoo with you guys sometime soon. My kids love it there, and it's a fun activity to get them outside in the nice, fresh....well, right now smog. Hopefully the weather will get better, and the air will get cleaner so we can go.
