Christmas 2010

This year was a little bit different from the ones we have celebrated in the past.  There was no long distance traveling involved.  No packing of bags and driving to the airport at 5am on Christmas Morning.  We got to spend lots of time with both our families and we enjoyed being able to go home every night to our own beds with out totally disrupting everyone's schedules.  Which made for much more pleasant children.  I must say it was a nice chance.  One other thing that was different from any other year of our married life was that we actually had a full size Christmas tree.  The only tree we have used in the past was a three foot tree we got from my grandma.  This year we picked out our own tree to take home and decorate.  It was a very nice touch to have the nice smell of fresh pine to remind us of Christmas.

Christmas Eve we were going to celebrate with Andrew's family but everyone was sick and that celebration was postponed.  We spent a quiet evening a home having a nice family dinner and reading the Christmas Story.  Kids were in bed on time so we could finish all those last minute things, like wrapping all the presents because I had been too sick myself to do it before.  The boys were thrilled to find that Santa had come.  I didn't do a great job taking pictures but here are a few from Christmas morning.
